The widow of the late Ayawaso West Wuogon Member of Parliament (MP), Lydia Alhassan, has filed her nomination papers at the Electoral Commission (EC) to contest her husband’s seat.
Madam Alhassan is the New Patriotic Party’s Parliamentary Candidate for the constituency.
She will battle it out with NDC, Delali Brempong who took his campaign for the seat to a different level by helping some constituents perform household chores yesterday We reported of how he pounded fufu for a constituent just for her vote.
PPP’s William Doworkpor who has been contesting the seat for some time now will be contesting again.
The by-election is scheduled to take place on 31st January, 2019.
